I’m a life long gamer who grew up enjoying the action, stories and characters that games could bring. When I wasn’t playing sports, I was grinding through my favourite games.
My first console was an Intellivision that I got as a hand me down when I was in Kindergarten. Astrosmash, Lock N’Chase, Nightstalker and even some Blackjack were my selection. With a paper route, I was able to save up for an Atari 7800. A few Christmas’ later, my mom got me the original Nintendo.
Over the years, gaming was a big part of my life. However, as we grow and enter new stages in life, the time and energy we have for our hobbies goes down as other responsibilities come around.
Now married with two little ones of my own, I no longer can pull all nighters and still drag my butt to work in the morning. Making lunches, getting kiddos to school, bathing kiddos and getting them to bed, meal prep and cooking, house work and chores, quality time with the wifey….I don’t get the amount of gaming time that I used to. While I do miss having that time, I’m also lucky to have a fantastic wife and some pretty cool kids.
So now, after the kids are in bed, dishes are done, and family time has been had, I can still sneak in a couple of hours of gaming here and there. I enjoy streaming those sessions so that I can get your thoughts about what I’m playing and to share my reactions as I play new games that I’ve never experienced before, or share memories of games that I haven’t played in years.
Come hang out and say hi. Send some suggestions my way, too! I can’t play as much as I used to, but I still love getting in gaming sessions when I can and can’t wait to share them with you. Thanks for watching!
